A quick Bio:
After living my entire life in South Carolina, my husband and I relocated to coastal North Carolina, in 2020. Since we are less than 15 miles over the border, from South Carolina, it is not a huge change, but we are thrilled to be so close to the sand and sea.
I have been drawing and painting since I was a small child, encouraged by my grandmother. As I grew up, she became my benefactor, making sure I had private lessons from a well-known local artist, and all the art supplies I could ever need. I went on to study art and earn a BA in Art at the College of Charleston. In the years since college, I have continued to enjoy, grow and hone my skills, learning on my own, and from my peers.
I enjoy experimenting with new techniques, and do not consider myself a single medium artist. Throughout my career, I have created works in pen and ink, pastel, pencil, and oil. My most recent paintings are in acrylic paint. The chosen medium changes according to my mood, as does style and subject matter. I enjoy moving between abstract and realism, keeping my skills sharp, while freeing my inner creativity.
I hope you enjoy browsing my work. If you are interested in purchasing, please contact me, to schedule and appointment. [email protected] or [email protected]
Happenings:
GAME OF SHROOMS – June 14, 2025, Artist all over the world will participate in a mushroom themed Art-and-Seek. We will hide our original artwork in our communities, and leave hints on our social media platforms, which will allow our neighbors to find our “Shrooms” and be able to keep the work for themselves. This is a one day event. Works will either be found and claimed, or reclaimed by the artist, at the end of the day. My work will be hidden in Shallotte, NC, and a few of the surrounding areas.
HOPE-FILLED (ongoing) – This collection of paintings was created to raise funds for the homeless shelters. 100% of the sale price of paintings in this collection is donated to that purpose.
All forms of payment are accepted.
