A quick Bio:
After living my entire life in South Carolina, in 2020, my husband and I relocated to coastal North Carolina. Since we are less than 15 miles over the border, from South Carolina, it is not a huge change, but we are thrilled to be so close to the sand and sea.
Spurred on by the encouragement of my grandmother, I have been drawing and painting since I was a small child. As I grew up, she became my benefactor, making sure I had private lessons from a well-known local artist, and all the art supplies I could ever need. I went on to study art and earn a BA in Art at the College of Charleston. In the years since college, I have continued to enjoy and hone my skills, learning on my own, and from my peers.
I enjoy learning new techniques, and do not consider myself a single medium artist. Early on, I enjoyed pen and ink drawing. I later took up pastels and oil painting. My most recent paintings are in acrylic paint. The chosen medium changes according to my mood.
In addition to working in multiple media, I have, also, been migrating away from clear subject matter, in favor of the abstract. I am enjoying the freedom and creativity of that style.
I hope you enjoy looking at my work. If you are interested in purchasing, please contact me, to schedule and appointment. [email protected] or [email protected]
